How cute are my parents...

How cute are my parents? They drove into town for a visit over this last weekend.

We celebrated birthdays and took a trip to the old Farmers Market on Fairfax. The Grove has been built onto the back of it...but the Market remains the same, thank goodness.
We ate at the market,

walked around and enjoyed all the colors...

and marveled at all the goodies...

and then we meandered through The Grove and went to see "Little Miss Sunshine" at the theatre there. Loved that movie...what a hoot.

Time with my parents zoomed by...as it always seems to. I try to clear my schedule so I can spend quality time with them...so this past week I spent catching up on what I had put aside and started making lists...I'm a good list maker...plotting out the rest of the year so I don't go crazy...wishful thinking? perhaps...but every day I get something done so I feel good about that...
To understand the heart and mind of a person, look not at what he has already achieved, but at what he aspires to.
~Kahlil Gibran

I have been trying to watch the new shows on TV so I can stay up with what's happening. I've watched alot of television the past week...(thanks to Tivo)...but I like to keep on top of the biz and at least catch the premier show...anyone have any favorites out there?

I love this sign...Sarah Fishburn and Christi Wich gave it to me after my visit to Fort Collins, Colorado earlier this year. Sarah brought it with her when she came for her visit this summer. I have been wanting to put it up for the longest time (you rub the letters onto the wall)...and finally I found the time to do it. I put it over our front door...and everyone loves the way it looks...I love the sentiment...big thanks to you ladies...Home truly is where your story begins...

TV - I'm a sci-fi fan so I watch Stargate and Dr Who but I really love Boston Legal it's so well written.

Your family is beautiful, and your Mom and Dad are indeed cute... They look so happy!
As far as TV goes, I don't have a favorite show right now (too busy creating art, I s'pose=), but when I do I love Project Runway, HGTV, anything on the Travel Channel, and movie classics (of course recent ones starring Johnny Depp are nice too =)!

I love the sentiment of the sign. You really just rub it on a wall?
Can it be placed outdoors?

The pics of your parents are wonderful! They look like a happy couple and happy grandparents. Where do your parents live? I assume they don't live close to you.

I also like the pics of the baked goods -especially the cookies! Love the white sandy ones with the little dobs of chocolate on top!

I am a teacher and don't get much time for T.V. (besides my hubby always has sports on). However, I did get into Grey's Anatomy last year. Couldn't wait for the new series this year. I'm hoping that T.V. will have some new comedies this year. We all need lots of laughs!

I treasure my cute mom and fortunately she lives near me. My dad passed away 22 years ago.
I'd love to visit the Farmer's Market. Looks like a fun colorful place. I want some of those rub on sentiments. You found the perfect place for yours.
As far as TV; I'm a fan of Gilmore Girls (began what could be its last season last night), Boston Leagal, too. Looking forward to 3rd season of "Lost" and I am crazy about "The Office!"

What a great looking family! Isn't it funny how the older we get the more adorable we become, just like the way we started!
TV Shows: I have become hooked on "Late Night with Graig Ferguson", the man is totally insane.
Can't miss "Dancing With the Stars" and loved "So You Think You Can DAnce". My daughter was a dancer all through school and it's fun to remember those competition days. We call each other after the show and compare notes.

I am glad that you made time for your parents! So many of us get so busy in life, and it is so important to celebrate our family while we have them! As for new shows, Check out Brothers and Sisters with Sally Field and a great cast. Rachel Griffiths from Six Feet Under is also in the cast and she is an amazing actress to watch!

Oh my goodness, how precious is this?? They are so cute!! Well, I don't think I could live without my Tivo. I'm always taping something. I'm a big Criminal Minds and CSI fan except when they air those really gross episodes. I'm a chicken so I only watch the G-rated stuff. xoxo

Angela how wonderful to see your parents. They look so fit and healthy in their twilight years. I think you resemble your mother.

Seein the pics of your parents brings to mind some questions I would like to ask you about your Lost in Space years.

1) did you live far from the studio and did one of your parents drive you there and remain on set?

2) what did your friends think of you being a movie and TV star? Were they happy for you or a bit jealous? Did you get some negative flack for being on screen?

3) Did you ever recall meeting Lori Martin who starred as Velvet in the tv show National Velvet? I am a friend of hers and I mentioned how I liked you alot as Penny in LIS and she said she had met you and your sister and said "you were both very nice girls".

4) How did you meet your husband? (this one just came to me in a flash) I hope you will answer all these questions.

My 2 fav shows are DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES and LOST. I used to really like HOUSE MD but found it too formulaic and the doc is just nuts!!

Further to my other post, atually I think more now that veronica looks like your mother and you are more like your dad.

Another questions. Do your parents tell people that you were Brigitta in SOM and Penny in LIS?

Your parents are adorable! Enjoy your moments with them; it's so important. I am having to put my mom in a nursing home on Monday of next week. I miss my dad a whole lot, it will 17 years next month.

I haven't seen too many new shows this season except for Studio 60 and it seems pretty good. Still love my Grey's Anatomy and I do watch Dancing with the Stars with my mom at the hospital.

Answers to your ???
The sign is a kind of vinal material...it looks really cool up on the wall. Not that hard to put up I just used my bone folder.
You can get them made through The Creative Underground. Just give Christi a call. I have their link on the sidebar of my blog.
Loved "So You THink You Can Dance"...I loved watching the dancers...rough schedule they have, I admire their spunk and youthful talent.
Digging 'Ugly Betty' 'Heroes' 'The Class' 'Vanished' 'Brothers & Sisters' still enjoying 'Greys Anatomy''Numb3rs''Without A Trace''CSI' the original one...'Lost' was weird'...Kinda think I like 'Studio 60' but people don't talk like that...
1)My Mom took me to the studio everyday and by law had to stay with me...though she wouldn't have left me there alone even if it wasn't the law.
2)My good friends are still my buds today. I was just ole Angela to them. There is always jealousy in show biz...goes with the territory...
3) I do remember Lori Martin though it has been years since I've seen her. Say hi to her for me.
4) My husband was a friend of some friends of mine...he lived in the apartment below them. We were friends while I was dating someone else...
I do think my parents have told people at BINGO that I was in Sound of Music...
ok there you have it...

how do they talk? i've been in plenty of entertainment companies and the people i know disect everything when you ask them a question. they ramble on, and think they know the actor and director's intent better than the actor and director. they just can't say i like this or this. what do you mean? how do you think they talk? :)

dear angela,

thank you so much for answering my questions. I really appreciate that! Lori Martin is a lovely person who unfortunately has had a very hard life. I will tell her that you said Hi.

Angela, do you have any pictures of you and Jonathn Harris you would share and what did you think of him?
