my gift to you...

My gift to you this Thanksgiving Day is my Apple Pie recipe. Now it's not a traditional apple pie mind you...you will like it if you like your apples a bit crunchy...and there is no gelatin or gooey insides like American Apple Pie...but if you like apples and the taste of sweet and savory...then this pie is for you. Enjoy!

The recipe for
Angela’s English Apple Pie

- Put these ingredients in a pie shell -
1 double pie crust
1 qt apples – I mix everything from Fuji to Gala
Juice of 1 orange
1 tsp lemon rind

- Stir up in a bowl -
- Sprinkle on top -

2 tbs. flour
1 cup sugar
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cinnamon

place 2 tbs. real butter
put other pie shell on top
brush ¼ cup condensed milk or milk
on top of pie shell and sprinkle with
sugar if you desire.

350 for 30 – 45 minutes
(or until the crust is brown and yummy)

Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

artists abound....

Today I made my way to the Felt Club. An event at the Shrine Auditorium featuring handmade items. I signed books at noon till 1:00 then made my way around looking at everything.

Here I am with Stefanie Girard author of Sweater Surgery: How to Make New Things from Old Sweaters and Lisa Sonora Beam who signed her book, The Creative Entrepreneur: A DIY Visual Guidebook for Making Business Ideas Real from 1:00-2:00pm
My good friend Connie helped me out, and I just have to share with you her shadow inspired swag she made for me with my brand new Shadow Stamps.
You can check each one out in detail by going to her blog ArtSeat and see some of the other items she made with my Shadow stamps.
I did want to share with you my new earrings that I bought at The Weekend Store booth. Artist creator Adjowah Brodie was oh so very sweet to extend her 20% off your purchase by entering the coupon code "thank you" when you shop at her site. The holidays are coming...check them out. I love my '9' earrings. Anyone know why I picked two 9's?

There were artists galore and everything from felt to tee shirts...lots to look at...It was a blast.

shadows rule!!!

I am so excited...Stampington & Company has just released my new Unruly Shadow stamps!
What fun can be had with these? There are three different sets, Rhythmic Shadows, Shadow Emotions and Shadow Dancing...The larger shadows are a little over 3 inches...and the Shadow Dancers perfect for ATC's, tags, bookmarks etc...etc....

I couldn't wait to try them out and discover all the different textures that can be created by stamping with them. Stamp them in ink...in paint...dress them up, put your friends faces on them...let me know if you make art with them...I would love to post your creations on my blog.

AND...
I also will be attending the Felt Club extravaganza at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles this coming Sunday the 16th. I will be there with "In This House" and "Mixed Emulsions" books at the Rockport/Quarry Booth at 12:00pm. I wanted to go to this event last year...it looks like it will be so much fun. Hope you can make it...drop by and say hi!
