stars and stripes...

July 4th is here.... barbecues, warm weather... and realizing the year is half over already...
I have been working hard with my partner Ms. Sarah on Pasticcio QUARTZ (QUality ART Zine) Issue 4...it's almost done and will be available by the end of the month if not before. It's put me a bit behind on some art thoughts hovering in my head. If I don't get it out soon I will explode.

Thanks for all your kind comments on my parents anniversary...They just sent me this picture my Dad grabbed of Dodger in his new carry bag...he looks like a stuffed animal! My Mom's head is cut off but you can tell she is enjoying her new friend.
I found this picture of my nephew Dakota when he was 2...he's 16 now...but he's wrapped in the spirit of the holiday. Have a safe and wonderful day...

forgot to pick a future he'd like, so now he's practicing for the one he's got

Happy 4th of July!

Love the quote about futures (so true!) and the picture of your mom with Dodger is adorable!

I can certainly empathize with that feeling of having so many thoughts one feels about to explode. Artists are most keenly aware of that old saying "strike while the iron is hot." May this month for you be full of creative fireworks, as well as patriotic ones!

lol. Dodger does look like a stuffed animal. He's so cute! Love the feather. Is it off a real bird? Like a parrot or something? I had a wonderful 4th of July. Can't wait for the fireworks tonight. You have an adorable nephew. Your family is so good looking! I know what you mean about artwork hovering in your head. My computer is broken and I can't do any on that.

When the muse hits, you have to just go with the flow! Right now my camera is in the shop and I am going bonkers without it. I feel like I am missing a part of my soul, it's my constant companion. I have the point and shoot but it's just not the same. Oh well, I'll just have to keep busy with all the unfinished art projects scattered all over the studio.
