the bowl itself is made up of beads...
These shells are amazing...the artist? the sea...
these beads were collected in New Mexico...the artist? patient...

this little shield...meticulously handpainted...
in my hand...I hold inspiration...

Housebound? Carmageddon getting you down? Clearly, you are not one to get bored, AC. You say the little beads were collected in New Mexico. Are they artefacts that you found in the sand? I lived in Egypt as a child and we found Roman coins and combs and pottery shards. It was so cool. But we lost what we collected (we were kids) over time. Now, Egypt forbids removal of anything at all (which I fully support). By the way, our home is pretty dusty, if you ever do get bored!

I love these photos and the shells are amazing. I've been meaning to attempt a beaded Huichol bowl like the one you have but haven't yet. I have great appreciation for people who work with seed beads.

Sometimes dusting is a necessary evil. Everything is lovely... and being a quilter I especially appreciate the design on the shield.

Have a great day!

Hi Angela, don't forget the Jupiter II could use some house cleaning too.

Who said cleaning couldn't be fun?

Hi Ms Cartwright. I thought the little trinkets were very cute. By the way, I took the liberty of reading your palm from the pictures. It seems that when you grow up you will be a very talented artist and actress.....it also said something about you needing to buy a new feather duster. >PEACE

Wow, that bowl is truly a work of art! Where did you ever find such a fabulous creation? The seashells are lovely too, I've never seen such colorful ones before.

I love those shells. I would like to put them in my pond.
