stuff it...

Sometimes when you get stuck...you just have to say stuff it and do something different. And I was stuck...stuck in art purgatory. Having a problem moving ahead with any of the many projects I have going. So I took this class from Joe at Zinnia's and made these sock dolls. The break was just what I needed to unstick myself.

You start with a sock...
Cut out some ears and legs and sew them up...
Add buttons and odds and ends and some of the cool stuff you can get at Zinnia...and voila...
Their personality comes to life...Alot of fun was had by all...
Here's a group sock picture of the motley crew and all of Joe's students...

Sometimes you just have to stick a sock in it to get unstuck...

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!! What a great idea for 115* weather and grandkids. I was running thin. I checked your blog yesterday morning and saw this earlier post. I cleaned out my sock drawer!! A well needed and avoided task and voila. If I could attach a picture here I would. If you want to check out our results see my blog: http://ohsnapwranglers.blogspot.com/
Again, Thank you. I am a hero in the kids eyes! They said it's the most fun they have had and they are WORLD travelers!
THANK YOU!

How fun! What a great way to reboot your creativity. We always have stray socks at my house, what a great way to recycle some of them.
