child's play...

I don't think I have posted this shot I took of me and my sheltie Peyton. She's so cute, even in shadow form. The days have been gorgeous here in LA...there's a bite in the air...Yay, sweater weather... the skies have been blue. I took a break this afternoon, to stretch my legs and wander through my garden to see what's getting ready to bloom and what needs to get done, and I found myself mystified by the way the sun interpreted the scarf I was wearing...engaging it in some sun shadows...

There's an interview that was just posted on this cool site called Creativity Portal...It's a cool site and there's lots to look at...if you read the interview you will see, I am not always playing like a child in the sun...
only as often as I can...

I like the shadows! Peyton and you especially!! It is still too cold for a garden here. But I think soon it will be warmer.

It's warm here in the panhandle of Florida too. I love the azaleas bursting out all over the place. And wisteria. It's like a wonderland.

Aw, Peyton's shadow. So cute.

That's a great interview in Creativity Portal. Love that pic Odyssey.

You're right, Peyton is very cute, even in shadow form! I love the photographs of your scarf, and the different ways you altered them. Very nice!

I adore the whole "shadow" idea. A simple black shape can tell so much, yet keep just enough secret.

Also, I must admit, I am just a wee bit green with envy over the photo of your garden. I am here in Corona California, not too far from L.A. But, there's a rather large difference in the humidity factor. It's so very dry here. Although I manage to keep a "cottagy" garden, it is a daily task!!

I'm glad the sun decided to play with your scarf's shadow! (And I'll join in with everyone else in admiring Peyton. Shelties are such beautiful dogs.)

Gardening. Sigh. Thanks for the glimpse into a garden -- there's still a lot of snow around here (Canadian prairies) and I'm ready for spring! Thanks for giving me a little taste of spring's delights!

Hi Angela

I'm sorry to comment on your personal blog, but I'm just very excited at the prospect that you might read a message from me! My name is Amy, I'm a filmmaker from Melbourne, Australia. I grew up in the 90s watching reruns of Lost in Space on TV, and you were always my favourite actor from the show, and Penny my favourite character. I looked you up on the internet today because I've just been given the first season of Lost in Space on DVD, and watching it has brought back many fun and wonderful memories of my childhood.

I have subscribed to Pasticcio Quartz and look forward to finding out more about your art and writing.

Regards

Amy

Beautiful variations on the scarf photos. You're work is inspiring! Enjoyed your article in "Digital Studio" on Spliced Sketches. I am a beginner in photography and (Photoshop) but am enjoying experimenting with all of the possibilities.
