so do you think you can dance?

I found these old pictures of me in an envelope and it reminded me of the years I took dancing. That's my teacher Ernest Belcher, the father of Marge Champion who was a famous ballerina and dance teacher.

But it's the dancers on "So You Think You Can Dance" that I'm talking about...How amazing are they? This show is a must see to celebrate the pure joy of dance.

Hi Ange
I'm stuck in an airport in Melbourne and trawling through websites in the lounge. What a cute pic of you at dancing class--never knew about that. Love to the whole family

My daughter took dance for many years. We've watched this show together since the first season. It's been so much fun to share our love of dance and enjoy the amazing talent that's out there. It gets tougher every year, the talent is the best it's ever been. Glad that most of our favorites made it through.

What adorable ballerina pix of you! You are so multi-talented. The dancers in the u-tube scene aren't near as cute as you. Or talented. But they are interesting.lol.

Hi, Miss A --
What a coincidence! I was just at the Fred & Adele Astaire Award ceremony in NY and Marge Champion was one of the presenters! Nearly 89 years old and still elegant & beautiful! How sweet that you studied with her dad!
Much love,
Judy from the West Side

I"ve watched all the shows the past couple of weeks for the try outs and my heart just sunk to the floor at the end of the show on Thursday night when my most favorite of all the dancers, Brandon from FL, did not make it as the last guy. Now I just feel discouraged because I wanted to have more opportunities to watch him and I just wonder what in the world were the judges thinking to send him home. He was absolutely THE best dancer on the show. ;(

I was doing some research on Ernest Belcher and found your photos. I was thrilled. I too took ballet from Mr. Belcher, in the late 50's -1961. He was a wonderful man. Thanks for posting those!

Absolutely adorable and already dazzling;as fans we feel for our star something like what astronomers must feel like when gasping at the first twinkling of a newborn star in a stellar nursery: joy at witnessing something so amazing coming into being!
