I'm not sure I would make a very good princess....

Because I am not sure I could keep a straight face while doing all the things that royal folk do while wearing a tiara. You see...one secret wish I had for my birthday was to get a tiara... I don't know why... I guess I thought I could wear it while I made art... who knows... Sarah knew that wish, which I had blurted out one day in a phone conversation. Today I received a box from that crazy Sarah with a tiara in it! The thing is...when I'm wearing it...I can't keep a straight face. It's like a laughing hat...
What could be better then that!

Soon I'll be leaving my home for the Art and Soul Retreat up in Portland, Oregon. I am teaching three classes there and I feel like I have been packing forever. I just hope everything arrives safe and sound...I looked at the weather report and it looks like rain, rain and more rain!
Instead of worrying about things over which I have no control...I think I'll put my tiara back on and have a good laugh at myself...

you're beautiful.

it should be removed from your head only for cleaning.

The tiara's working for you. :) It's a mystery to me why an "art and soul" retreat would be held at two un-soul-ish airport hotels when that city (where I lived for several years and a piece of my heart still lives) has SO much to offer. Hope you get a chance to get out and soak up some of that great PDX vibe. ;)

Nothing wrong with a good laugh at oneself. Why take life seriously?! Next time we meet I will make sure I bow to HRH Angela!

How wonderful you have a tiara because you're an authentic Princess!

Oh my, LOVE the tiara - it should be required attire for all creative sessions!! My painting group may just have to get them - surely the extra touch of glamour will enhance creativity. And a tiara would certainly be the perfect accessory with the Unruly Artist T-shirt!!

Bye - I'm off to the tiara store...

What a coincidence. I bought a toy tiara the other day. I actually bought it for the earrings that went with it. I can only wear plastic earrings since I'm allergic to metals. But I tried on the tiara just for fun and felt quite royal in it. Your tiara is obviously an expensive one. You look stunning in it.

I made my sister a tiara for her b-day we celebrated over the weekend and she, I and all the children there took turns wearing it. I was thinking of making all of us (men, too!) crowns and tiaras to wear at the Christmas holidays. I think seeing your blog comment today was a serendipitous sign that I should forge ahead with my plans! BTW, it looks lovely on you.

There aren't many ladies who can pull off a tiara - YOU can! Isn't it fun when a friend surprises you with the answer to your secret wish? Have fun at A&S. You will knock 'em dead.

1. I really, really like "Passing Through"!

2. I'm going to rent the Lost in Space remake just to see your cameo! It's been ages since I've seen it and I didn't realise you had one!

3. Is it true Julie Andrews gave you Beatle books after filming wrapped? My guess is that she hasn't been in any contact with the 'kids' since SOM wrapped anyway.. but has she spoken to the 'kids' at all in recent years? Just wondering.
