shadow me

Well Thanksgiving is behind us as we head full speed towards the holidays. I have been using this time to catch up on some things I had put at the back of my desk.
I could not be more excited about my shadow images that have been made into a petite 1"x1/4" sterling silver pendant! I am crazy about them... they are so beautifully made by my good friend and jeweler extraordinaire Tartx. No doubt about it... I am indeed shadow crazy. So these are the creme de la creme of my shadow art. Check them out at my etsy shop where they await your adoption. Or is you don't see the one you want there...CLICK HERE and I will have it special ordered for you...

I have also been making some art...playing around with my new Unruly Shadow stamps that Stampington & Company has just released. They are fun to work with...and here are a few fun things I have done with them.
Here's a ollection of mini banners to string together or hang on the tree. Shadows stamped on silk and connected to 5 x3 fabric covered banners...

and...3-D ATC's chairs made with collage papers...with shadows perched on them...

I think I'll be making my holiday tags with my shadow stamps this year if time will slow down a bit so I can catch my breath. It's misty in Los Angeles these past few days and night is visiting earlier. I need to make myself get outside more...take some photographs and take in the seasons offerings. I'm leaving town this weekend to do just that.....Hope you are taking time to enjoy the season too....breathe deep....

OoOoO, I love the necklaces. I was just admiring them in your online shop yesterday. I have a shadow of myself. Wish I could turn it into a necklace. lol. It was an inadvertent shadow. I was taking a picture of a cut cable on the ground and my shadow happened to be there too. lol. Here is link to pic:

Oh my gosh, girl, your creative energies abound and astound me. You are an inspiration and motivation to my many projects that are in the fire and under deadline by mid month. Thanks. I too will be out in the field shooting....

Wonderful! I will check out your etsy shop! The lovely shadow pendants remind me of the silhouettes on glass pictures my grandmother had in her home. The banners are pure bliss!~~~XXOO, Beth

TEX did a great job. The pendants are wonderful - so is the banner you made with your stamps. Very cool.

Plan for 'Sound of Music' hotel blocked in Austria

VIENNA, Austria – The Austrian city of Salzburg has blocked plans to open a hotel in a former home of the von Trapp family immortalized in "The Sound of Music" after protests by neighbors.

The "Villa Trap" had been expected to open this year in a quiet, upscale Salzburg neighborhood.

Area residents had feared tourists would tie up traffic and make a nuisance of themselves.

Hotel organizers say they will appeal Wednesday's decision by the urban planning committee.

The home once belonged to the von Trapps. The family was made famous in the 1965 movie in which Julie Andrews played a nun-turned-nanny who cared for a widower's seven children and fell in love with him during World War II. The film altered some details of the family's history.

I really like those shadows sitting in those chairs. Actually, I like all the shadows. I hope you have a good time this weekend, wherever you are going.

Your shadow stamps and what you have created with them are quite amazing and inspiring! It must be very exciting to design your own stamps!

I have been trying out your shadow stamps in some of my Lost in Space art. I just this past week figure out how to create a link in my own posts, so I linked to you and stampington page that has your stamps.

If you have time you can check out my favorite one at the following link.

Sorry, I don't think I can make it so you can just click on it. Also, I'm still learning how to draw the entire Lost in Space family!
