Every new year I think it's a good thing to make a resolution...or at least acknowledge something that one can strive for. This year my sister, Veronica, gave me five cool pewter flags, each one carrying a message. A couple of them are challenging...especially number 2, but they are a good way to start 2009, with these thoughts in mind...
I wish you all a wonderful New Year...and the strength to carry these messages within each and every one of you...
See ya in 2009....

Hi Angela - thanks for sharing the 5 metal notes from your sister - as simple as they are written, the difficulty becomes clear as I think how I will take action to implement them in my life in 2009 - thanks for sharing them with us - sending wishes for a year of creativity, friendship, good health and more in 2009 - Reva (Los Angeles)
These are all great...for me it seems that I am giving more, and living simply for sure....but it's the "expect less" that I am forgetting. Thanks for the mental note...happy happy new year!
What a lovely gift -- and what excellent thoughts to hold in one's mind and heart as the New Year begins. # 2 is the most challenging for me, but I need to work on them all -- thank you, Angela (and Veronica) for these challenges! May it, indeed, be a banner year for you.
A Happy New Year to you and your family Angela, and all those who read this blog!
Love these! I posted a few resolutions on my blog as well! hugs Cathee S.
I like #3: Live Simply. I think true happiness comes from that. Happy New Year to you and yours Angela and to everyone here. Hugs.

Love those pewter tags from your sister! What a great gift and what good things to remember and strive for in 2009.
Happy new year to you Angela. Thanks for posting these flags. They all remind us of such important lessons.
What a wonderful gift from your sister! May your 2009 be wonderful!
Happy New Year! Those are wonderful words to live by, especially #3. It seems as we get older and our priorities change, the only choice we have is to live simply. The brain gets full and starts to spill over, so it's time to clean out the clutter and get on with what is really impotant. Once you learn to let go, it becomes so easy to get on with living up to one's true potential.
1) Free your heart from hatred.
2) Free your mind from worries.
3) Live simply.
4) Give more.
5) Expect less.
What a wonderful gift. So beautiful I could only add one more. Love unconditionally. I hope this is a wonderful year for you and your family Angela.
