I am so sorry Angela! I understand how you feel. It is hard to lose a loved one. Especially one so sweet, innocent, and untouched by the world. I still, sometimes, feel very bad about my cat, Dandelion who passed away 2 and a half years ago. I have been meaning to do a post about her on my kitty blog (Cheyenne).... hoping it might heal me, but haven't yet. I hope you don't mind my telling my human friends who have cats.
What a beautiful cat and what a great life she's had with you. I'm so sorry for your loss. All of us who have been down this road know how hard it is; peace.
Just read this on my facebook feed. What a beautiful girl, and so playful, even at such an advanced age. One of our cats is 16 now, and we treasure every day with her...
What a lovely thought that Kachina has joined the kitty circus. :)
I'm so sorry for your loss. I know the feeling well. I lost two of my girls last year, both were 19. It was soooo hard. I got one new kitten in December, he just turned one, and added two more kittens last month. One of our new ones favors your girl with the black/white markings. Love the look.
What a lovely, purry, furry friend! My heart goes out to you -- it's very hard to lose one of the furry members of the family, especially one that's been part of your family for so long. *many hugs*
I, too, love the idea that she's joined the Kitty Circus. Maybe she'll meet my old Panther -- he'll be the Tuxie who's standing on his hind legs, with his head back, resting it on someone's hand. (He's been gone for over 30 years, and I still think of him with fondness, and miss him.)
I love a quote from "Watership Down" which is something the rabbits said when one of their number died -- "My heart has joined the Thousand, my friend stopped running today". Your heart has joined the Thousand -- but somewhere, in that Kitty Circus, Kachina is still romping and playing...
We're sorry to hear that Kachina had to cross the Bridge. We hope that the thought of her racing around, returned to youth and vigour, will bring you comfort.
My friends over at Millie's Place sent me over to let you know that we are sorry for your loss. What a beautiful friend Kachina must have been to you for so many years. sincerely, Bruce the cat
Good morning Angela, We read about the passing of your dear sweet Kachina on Millie's blog. Madi and I wanted to let you know we are very sorry. Before Madi (7yrs. old) Milk-Way lived with us for 14 1/2 years. What a dear sweet boy he was. Mom says not to think she is crazy but for a few weeks after his passing she would often hear what sounded like him crunching away on his food. His litter box was upstairs over the family room. Several times she hears what sounded like him scratching in the box. We cannot explain it but it appeared he came back to say bye. Madi and Mom
Sorry to hear about Kachina - she was adorable - and what a long, good life!! She reminds me of my cat, Kashi, who passed on many years ago. They touch your life, and that will remain forever.......
Angela, I'm so sorry to hear of your heartbreaking loss. She must have had a wonderful life with you to hang around so long. My Jake and Jasmine both passed away within a few months of each other. He in November of last year, and she died the following April. My heart still aches for them. Take care and give yourself time to heal.
Kachina was a very pretty kitty. you were blessed to have such a wonderful companion. There are many erfyl kitties at the Rainbow Bridge to greet her ans play in the Circus with her! Sharing her memory helps ease the pain, but only time will heal.
So sorry to hear the news about Kachina. We read about it on Millie-the-cat's blog (Cheyenne, referenced in a comment above), her mom wanted to share the news with other kitty bloggers who would understand how you feel.
Kachina was a pretty kitty, and she sure did live a nice long life. We know you miss her terribly and are sending our purrrrrrs. Our Mommy sends her hugs, too.
We read about your loss on Millie's page. We are truly sorry for the passing of your kitty. We understand what you are going through as we lost our dearly, departed sisfur, Scooter(RIP), on April 1st of this year. Just know that she will be at The Bridge waiting for you to come to her one day. And, also find comfort in knowing she left knowing she had her furever home and family and that she was one of the lucky ones to know what love really is. Out thought and purrayers are with you at this most difficult time. The Kool~Kittie~Krew AKA...Skeeter, King, and Pandora And Mom...Shannon PS...Our blog today was a dedication to Scooter...
We heard that you lost your sweet kitty, Kachina. We hope the joy that she brought you over the 20 years she was with you helps you through this difficult time. We send comforting purrs and headbutts your way....
I saw your loss of Kachina mentioned over at Millies House blog - it is always so sad to me when a kitty has to go, even when I didn't know them. My heart goes out to you - she was a beautiful kitty, and you obviously took excellent care of her - 20 is quite a feat! It is hard but just remember that she was able to have a great life in a loving home and I am sure she knew even at the end how loved she was.
So sad to hear of Kachina's passing. We lost our beloved Tobey last year after spending 18 years together. Strangely enough a couple of days later one of the floor boards in the kitchen started to squeak whenever we stepped on it. It sounds just like her! I think we'll just leave it that way.
So very sorry to hear of your kitty Kachina's passing - what a long and wonderful life she had and she was lucky to have you as her Mom - I too live with 2 elderly cat boys that are having health issues (ages 15 and 17) so I understand - sending hugs your way from one cat Mom to another - Reva (Los Angeles)
My heart goes out to you! It's hard to go about daily life after losing your best furry friend. We all understand that. Give yourself time to grieve. It could be weeks, or even months, it's different for evey pet lover. Take care of yourself and more importantly, be kind. Life will bring you comfort in time and you will remember Kachina with all the love, but hopefully less of the sadness. Take care.
We are so sorry to hear that your sweet Kachina had to go to The Rainbow Bridge. She was a pretty lady and looked very good for her 20 years. Please accept our condolences. We also heard about her from Cheyenne Millie.
So sorry Kachina passed on. Black and white cats are the best. It must be sad for your kids too, as she had been a part of most of their lives. Blessings CB
