"May you have warm words on a cold evening, a full moon on a dark night, and a smooth road all the way to your door" -- also an Irish blessing.

And keying that in made me wonder -- do you ever do moon shadows?

Other than Ireland, I can't guess a specific location for that gorgeous photograph, but it *is* gorgeous. I had my England photos out the other evening, remembering the green, green, green-ness (yes, indeed, I'm ready for spring and color!)

I am sure this will be in the west of Ireland (wilder than Cornwall, England, though it could have been there, too). But the green-ness of Ireland - it has to be Ireland, being St. Patrick's Day - has to be seen to be believed. A deep lime green, deeper than emerald. I never forget watching the approaching shoreline from the ferry and noting all the greens I could see; I was mesmerised and starting collecting yarns to knit a shawl that would capture the memory. My great grandmother was Irish. And my granddaddy, her son, was born on St. Patrick's Day. :)

"La Feile Padraic shona duit!" Thank you for your St. Patrick's Day greeting, my friend! I hope your day was grand! Could it perhaps be the Aran Islands??

Hmm.....it looks like it is in Count Clare. Will we ever know? Beautiful anyway, I wish I was Irish :)

Oh, God, I have them in the background of many of my pictures of Cliffs of Moher, thanks to the good weather that day :) This year I may want to see the Cliffs from the Islands. By the way, Ireland is my favorite place on Earth!
