new apprentice in town...

There's a new magazine in town...
Somerset Apprentice. I just got my premire issue and it is really neat.
There are alot of you out there that just don't know where to begin...you want to make some art, but just how do you make that ? Where do you begin?

Well Apprentice is a good place to start because it's filled with awesome ideas...cool step by step how to's with easy to understand instructions and close up photos. You'll find my contribution on Page 126...The Joy Of Gesso, which if you don't know by now...is my favorite material to use in my photo art.

Art should be fun...and this magazine is a good way to have some. If your local art store or newsstand doesn't have it...you can order it directly from Stampington...

I have another article that hit the stands this week and I will post about that in a couple of days...hang in there...

Cool! Perfect timing! I have the Rhythmic Shadows set of stamps and have been using them in some of my art. I was thinking of getting the Shadow Dancing Stamps like in the next day. I will order the magazine at the same time.

Thanks, Angela. I have been putting off buying this one - why, not sure. However, your article does intrigue me and I might have to run out at lunch and pick it up. Marlynn

I had already ordered it, but it will be a while before it arrives on the shelves of our UK suppliers. I look forward to your contribution.

What a fabulous idea for a magazine.

I've always wished that somerset would publish a magazine about how to get published! So many of my artist friends have been published in somerset publications (and other mags). But...for those of us who don't have the publishing skills or confidence to put our art "out there", it would be nice to have a sort of tutorial on the how-to's of getting published!

Hi Angela:

Just a quick little comment. If you get a chance, swing by my blog. I'm having a give-away for one of my art prints. It's from my original collage/watercolor called "Rabbit's Curious Day".
