Wow, if the "She waited by the window for him..." is intended to pull at the heartstrings...well, it certainly worked for me! Very touching, I found myself trying to read the writing in hopes I would find something that would lead me to believe that it just might all work out for her... Very well done, but now I'm depressed about her situation, thanks for bringing me down! (lol, just kidding!)
-j...I am totally with you on this one! I enlarged the image as large as possible to view the old woman better and read the handwriting. I was deeply touched by this piece. One of those images that will remain in my mind!
What a truly inspiring piece I just love it and how thought provoking!! I love your work and I have gone ahead and added your blog to mine!! hope you don't mind! and also glad to see you in MMCA!!! your art is so wonderful and makes me smile!!! Hugs Linda
Colors and composition on these pieces are outstanding! I sat looking at the woman in the window and found myself thinking about all of the lonely women in the world - waiting.

I wonder if she's waiting for her husband, her son, or her long, lost love? Does anyone know the story behind the picture?
