Whenever an exhibit looms on the horizon there is a deadline...this time...I opened the portal and let it all spill out...I didn't worry about what I could conceal but what I could reveal instead...
This corner that I have just turned in my art...with my hand carved stamps and multiple layers, has it's ups and downs...in fact, to be honest about it...a few times I felt my heart was being ripped out of my body...but that's ok...I know it's true... I let my soul do the talking and now I have let it go...Here are a few snippets from the pieces I made for the "Conceal & Reveal" exhibit which is opening tomorrow night at "The Frame Gallery" in Agoura, California.
The exhibit will run till January 6th 2013 at the gallery and I am sharing the space with my art pal Connie Freedman who finally is showing some of her pieces. For those of you who cannot make our little wine and cheese soiree tomorrow night...I hope to have my new pieces on my website in the next couple of days so you can see them.

Angela, these are just beautiful! Art draws so much out of us --- so lovely to see what this drew out of you!
These are wonderful. Love the layers and they are pleasing, yet mysterious.
I'm playing myself tomorrow with gelatin plate monoprints for the very reason to just let go and see what's up. Thanks for the inspiration.
They're amazing Angela. My fave is the one with all the purple and fuscia in it. I don't know what that painting represents for you, but those colors really speak to me for some reason. I also like the last 2 paintings very much. That little kitty in the window is so precious and the piece with your personal photos is very touching.
Congratulations! Your work is so intriguing that makes my imagination fly. Usually, when people stare at any picture, they go nuts trying to figure out what the artist was thinking (feeling). I guess, your work depicts mixed emotions, surreal flashbacks, taken from different stages of your life. Eitherway, it is just my opinion. It looks like you are a very sensitive person who loves to do things your way. Keep it up!
