staying above the fray...

I have really not had time to post...I have been busy with the final touches on my exhibit 'Above The Fray' next Saturday, March 19th at Gallery 8.  If you live close by, I hope you will drop by...and if you can't make it, I will be posting the entire exhibit on my website in the next couple of weeks. Here's a couple of pieces that will be in the show.
destiny
clarity
grace

They're all wonderful pieces Angela. The colors you used in "Grace" really appeal to me. They're cheerful and warm all the same time.

My favourite is still the first one you posted, with the boats sitting quietly in the harbor. It evokes such a feeling of peace & serenity for me.

Good luck at your exhibit. I can hardly wait to see the rest of your creations posted here in a few weeks.

hi angela,
i am lovin your art! i just purchased your book, Mixed Emulsions.....and i am so excited to start to incorporate my photos with my art, following your inspiring techniques. i know nothing of how to print out my photos onto fabrics, canvas and such. my darling hubby bought me an epson printer for my birthday and i am wondering if this is a good choice for printing? wondering if i should take it out of the box? i am so excited to get started on altering my already existing paintings....oh boy, i am rattling on and this is not the place. sorry, i could not find a direct e-mail address for you, but i'm delighted to find your blog!

sincerely,
erin

Love the uneven edges on the photos. Best wishes with your exhibition - I hope you have a chance to enjoy it yourself.

"Above the Fray" is a perfect title for these. They are very pretty.

Hi Angela, again I wish I can go but I live on the east Coast. I viewed the paintings destiny, clarity, and grace which I think were influence by you trip to the Orient last year. Also I like the reunion photo on the home page of the LIS cast. You should have made a post of how that event went.

I so love your art, Angela. As Mystical Lucie said, my favorite is the opening one with the boats in the harbor, but "clarity" speaks to me deeply as well. Oh if I only had more walls! (And I, too, live in the wrong place, or I'd be at your exhibition without doubt.)
