art is lifes circle...

Months ago Becca 'commisioned' me to make a piece of art that could go above her sofa.  She wanted a contemporary feel...LA...her kind of style.
For 6 months I have thought about it, dreamed about it, mused and confused about it...
The deadline was her birthday to get this art piece done...

...and it all started to come together...layer after layer...over 50 in all... each layer peeling away and adding to a 'life circle'...filling it with moments of a life in progress.... (like above: Becca's Fur Elise music when she was a kid...with her notes on it...and the experience it engraved on her psyche.)

title: lifes circle

Oh Angela...this is a fantastic piece. So many layers, just like in life. Layer upon layer it takes to create from beginning to end. I love the idea of the circles...the flow of continuity, strength...no breaking point. Very beautiful piece.

One could live under these for a long time! It would be fun to lay on the sofa and look up at it! Love that art Angela!

And Happy Birthday to Becca again!

That's too sweet. I'm sure Becca will treasure it always.

I dreamed about your artwork last night, incidentally, Angela. You had it all over your house and knickknacks everywhere. You were there and had great life philosophy. Like there was no such thing as a problem. Then I came here today and saw this. It was like right out of my dream. Your work IS dreamy. :)

Through your art, you show us how to look at life ever so differently. Pretty damned swell, Angela West Coast -- from Judy West Side!!!
