my world...

I've been asking for some rain. My roses had been pruned and it has been a crisp and clear 70' after the holidays. I really wanted a couple of rainy days...just to wash the flowers faces and bathe in the raindrops of a new year. I think my British roots show through in this kind of weather and I dig my umbrella. After it rains and the sun peeks out...it is so refreshing to just breathe... a good way to start the new year I think.

In May of last year I went on a European cruise as a speaker...when I returned I had promised to post some pictures in the near future...but life just took off when I returned and I never got around to it. But being the Virgo I am, I have not forgotten that promise and I have picked a few pix from that colorful adventure and decided to post a few random images on this rainy day just for fun...Hopefully you will have fun looking at them and the color and design will in some small way inspire you. Art is indeed in every little thing in the world around us...

Great photos!!
I love the way everything smells after a rain. But, be careful what you wish for - it sounds like you are getting more than a little rain!!!! :>)

Oh, I would really love to learn more about the cruise. We hope to make a Mediterranean cruise this summer. I see you were at Sagrada Familia, a sight we had the pleasure of enjoying last summer. I planned all of our family adventure from home, but I know a personal recommendation would go a very long way to ensuring a great experience on our next adventure.

I am so glad you decided to post these pictures -- they are a delight, and they definitely speak to the presence of art and beauty and inspiration in the things all around us. Thank you!

(And I'm glad you got some lovely refreshing rain. *yearns for roses*)

Angela:

These photos are spectacular. I'm a sucker for photos of window reflection, so I would have to say that my favorite is the old building with the window reflection.

Thanks so much for sharing:

I agree about the rain. There is just a wonderful cleansing that replenishes the soul.

Your pictures were wonderful and thank you for sharing....the locked doorway was exceptional (to me).
