I turn around and it's been a couple of weeks since I posted...it's unbelievable how time is flying by....
Here is a page from my 'lost & found' altered book round robin. The ones below are pages that I did in book that was sent to me. This is my first altered book round robin and I think exchanges and swaps and round robins are a great way to stay on top of making art...even if you have a million things going on...you still have that deadline...I work best under pressure...
I had a visitor last week. My artist friend Celine Navarro came and stayed with me. She is a darling, a terrific house guest and so very talented...and we had lots of laughs and good times. I took her class she was teaching at Zinnia in Pasadena this last weekend...I find classes great for learning and trying new ideas and products. It was lots of fun. One day when we were out shopping and seeing the sites she bought me this stuffed animal named Coco...I call her Coco Cellini...and I took to her to the class with us...where CC did some serious artwork.
We went to the Grove, and I drove her through Hollywood and we also took a walk in one of my favorite places on earth...Descanso Gardens.
Here's a shot I took of the koi pond...colorful isn't it...
Have fun sketching with this link ....

Sounds like a fun weekend.
Hi Angela! I really love the altered pages too - they are so lovely and elegant. I haven't participated in a "round robin" yet, but it sounds like fun. Awesome photos - thanks again for sharing them =)
Gorgeous luminous pages in the altered book. Fantastic work as always - so much texture! How fun to visit with Céline again so soon! Love Coco! Wish I could get to Art & Soul for vendor night - I know Céline is going to do fabulous!!
Angela,
sounds like a fun weekend for both of you!
Your round robin page is wonderful!
It's been so long since I have done a round robin--I actually miss the challenge. It's interesting to see everyone's interpretation of a theme.
Glad you are enjoying my art. I'm filled up with art I need to get out.
The effect on the butterfly page is gesso and acrylic paint.
Hey T...wish I could have been at vendor nite too.
Angela, your art is just so beautiful and so are you!! In that photo with Celine, you are exquisite. I just recently bought the Lost in Space Season 3 DVDs and noticed that in that season there were more episodes revolving around you and lots of close up shots of your beautiful face. My favourite is Princess of Space. All about you and you got to wear those beautiful clothes. 2nd Favourite is The Promised Planet. I just love to see you doing the dancing. Very Groovy!!! As a kid watching the show, I so identified with you and wanted to be you and now I cant believe that I am communicating with you. Fantastic!!
Beautiful pages... lovely color and texture - especially love the Bronte quote.
